The Greenbriar Sustainable Living Forum (https://forum.greenbriarliving.com) is a community dedicated to respectful and productive discussions about sustainable living. These Moderation Guidelines explain how our moderators enforce our Ground Rules to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.

  1. Moderator Roles

Moderators are volunteers or staff who:

  • Review posts and reports to ensure compliance with our Ground Rules.
  • Assign trust levels or badges based on positive contributions.
  • Handle user inquiries and disputes.
  1. Prohibited Behavior

We moderate content that violates our Ground Rules, including:

  • Harassment, personal attacks, or discriminatory language.
  • Spam, off-topic posts, or commercial promotions.
  • Illegal content or links to harmful material.
  • Trolling or disruptive behavior.
  1. Moderation Actions

Moderators may:

  • Edit or remove posts that violate rules.
  • Issue warnings via private messages.
  • Temporarily mute or suspend accounts.
  • Ban accounts for severe or repeated violations.
  1. Appeals

If you disagree with a moderation action, contact a moderator within 14 days. Provide:

  • Links and screenshots of the moderated content or action.
  • An explanation of why you believe the action was incorrect. We will review and respond promptly.
